About TheBoondockQuiltCo

Hi, I’m Debbie.

TheBoondockQuiltCo didn’t start with a business plan-it started with a favor.

My sister was styling a photoshoot for a wedding magazine and asked if I could make a set of getting-ready robes. As we discussed the details, she suggested something simple: display them on a beautiful hanger.

So I made one.

When the magazine was released-the article was featured in Chicago Style Weddings Magazine-something unexpected happened-people noticed the hanger first. More than the robes and then brides began asking for one of their own.

At the time I had an Etsy shop with the intention of eventually making quilts-a quiet path into retirement from nursing. So, I listed the hanger. I didn’t set out to create a product-just something that felt right in the moment.

And that one small decision changed everything.

What began in a small sewing room has since grown into a signature design used by brides and trusted by boutiques. One of my earliest partnerships, The Crystal Bride in Geneva, became a defining moment-where my hangers became part of the gown experience itself, sent home with brides on one of the meaningful days of their lives.

Each piece is built on a custom metal frame-designed for strength and balance-then carefully padded, wrapped in embroidered satin, and finished by hand. Every detail is intentional. The goal has always been the same: to create something soft, elegant, and lasting-something worthy of the dress it holds.

This business has grown steadily, built on trust and craftsmanship, and the kind of work-of-mouth that can’t be forced. And while there is more ahead-more designs, more partnerships, and continued growth-the heart of it remains the same:

Create something meaningful.

Make it well.

And let it quietly speak for itself.
